Popovers


Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Mix everything except butter into a thick batter, leave at room temp
  3. Put pan in oven for 2 minutes
  4. Take pan out, put a small amount of butter in each cup
  5. Fill each cup half-way with batter
  6. Bake for 40 minutes

Notes

This recipe works best with a popover pan that has 12 smaller cups instead of the traditional 6 cup pan. For a 6 cup pan, bake at 450 for 20 minutes, then 300 for 20 minutes
